It is a wonder, how reality television can impact on the behaviour and sexuality of our youth, take “BIG BROTHER AFRICA” for instance, they have so many naked ladies and gents, doing all sorts of things, and often swearing on television, while the youth watch.
Most of the time, the youth and adolescent want to mimic the lifestyle and character of the people on these shows, without considering the impact it will eventually have on them and their future. The media on its own is a powerful tool of influence, not to talk of reality television shows specifically.
Moreover, the youth, often try to imitate reality television characters, which in most cases usually have a negative impact on their overall lifestyle, perhaps, the government, parents and producers of these shows, should try to represent reality television in a better way, that is worthy of emulation, to ensure and secure a favourable future for the youth, being that reality television can play a role in shaping the lifestyle of the youth.
