TIME TO LET GO

Holding on to the past is often not the right thing to do, because more often than not it usually end badly and also prevents one from enjoying the present, and that does not guarantee a future of happiness.
Moreover, holding back and never letting go makes one unhappy and devastated all the time, which in turn makes your friends and loved ones uncomfortable, when you are holding something back that you should let go which makes you unhappy, there is a tendency that it will affect the people around you.
There is always time for everything;  time to cry, time to be happy, time to be hurt, disappointed, forgive, let go and move on with your life.  That is the way it should be, no matter the gravity of hurt done to you as an individual, and no matter how much it hurts, letting go is less hurting than holding back, let go and be free.

WHAT MOTIVATES ME

Motivation is usually seen as the reason behind the deeds and actions of people, and as such different actions go with different reasons or motives specifically as the case may be, because people may do the same things surprisingly for different reasons.
For me specifically, I cannot do anything without a reason behind it, be it positive motive or negative, the point remains that there is always a reason behind every action, whether we deny them or not.
That notwithstanding, am usually motivated to pursue success when; I see successful people around me, the zeal to help people motivates me as well as considering the joy of my family, what motivates you?

POINTING FINGERS

Pointing fingers in this regard means, when one is trying to single somebody out as, the guilty one with regards to an offence that has been committed or a mistake that occurred or perhaps trying to blame others.

We as human beings like pointing accusing fingers on other people, meanwhile we forget that, we can only point one finger while the remaining four fingers points back at us, which means that in one way or another we are often guilty or fall prey to the same reason why we point fingers in the first place.

That notwithstanding goes on to insinuate that, no body is perfect and blameless because, whether we like it or not, we are simply humans, and mistakes are inevitable and as such, we should rather see mistakes as something that could happen to anyone at any time, rather than point fingers at others, while we are not different from them with regards to making mistakes.

SEE THE OPPORTUNITY IN EVERY SITUATION

This title sounds like the adage that goes, “Every disappointment is a blessing”.  Well that depends on the individuals’, emotional strength, capabilities, understanding and foresight, because in every disappointment that occurs to a person with neither of the aforementioned qualities, the end product is likely to be depression, loss of faith and discouragement.
Therefore, if we try to be less vulnerable and think ahead, we are most likely to see the opportunity in every situation and utilize it for our good and that of mankind.  For instance; some people strive to make the opposite sex pay for what they went through during an emotional heartbreak, rather than finding out where they went wrong and making amends if given another chance and possibly sharing their experience with a novice, who will use it to make a difference.
In order words, we should stop acting the victims in every situation or disappointment and rather look for loop holes, which could be the reason behind the disappointment in the first place and turn it around, thereby transforming it into an opportunity for growth.  Look beyond the bad side of a situation and see the opportunity in every situation.

10 MOST UNEXPECTED CONSEQUENCES OF BEING ONLINE

In life, whatever we do, have both advantages and disadvantages, which could also be seen as consequences.  Apart from connecting to our long lost friends around the universe while on line; the following consequences could also be encountered while on line, they are;
·         Bumping into people you are avoiding.
·         Meeting dangerous strangers.
·         Unknowingly committing legal offences, due to what you post on line.
·         Consistently being bordered with on line advertisements.
·          Flirting with someone who could turn out to be your next door neighbour or employer.
·         Bumping into a completely boring person, whom, you would rather not chat with.
·         Disclosing how vulnerable you are emotionally to the whole world, as a result of being on line at the wrong time.
·         Having access to latest information.
·         Exposing yourself to on line crimes.
·         You can also have easy access to opportunities’ that would either benefit you in future or not, as a result of being on line.
Although, it is not all the time that, one is on line that you encounter problems, most at times, being on line results to a great experience, advantages like, meeting people from different works of life, which in turn results to an increase in knowledge, thereby making you ahead of people who don’t  go on line often.

HAPPY YOUTH DAY

It was youth day on Saturday, the 16th of June 2012.  For some it was a moment of great shopping, partying, drinking and all of that.  Although, it is okay to party and be merry for the privilege, because youth day is not just an ordinary event that happens every now and then.
Despite the partying, let us not forget that, we are being celebrated because, we are the future of our generation and that, the success of humanity depends on our level of responsibility, education and special abilities etc.  As we celebrate, let us also reflect on the reason why we are being celebrated and do what is expected of us as the youth.
None the less, we should not hesitate to express our youthful exuberance which is inevitable and part of growing up, but keep it safe in every aspect, and also listen and learn from knowledgeable people so that in future, we can be trusted enough to take over from our predecessors.  Happy Youth Day.

CRYING IS NOT A SIGN OF WEAKNESS

Crying does not make you less of a human than, others whom you think do not cry, perhaps because, you have not seen them cry, that does not mean that, they do not cry, for me personally, if something or somebody hurt me, I cry, and am not ashamed to cry it out because, crying makes it easier for me and that is the only way I express grief.
That notwithstanding, crying does not change the situation or reverse what has been done, am not disputing that fact, but it could help in coping with things happening around us, although some of us are either ashamed or scared of crying and often feel belittled or feel less of a human when they cry.
Moreover, crying is not such a bad thing for me at all, and if you keep on considering what people think of you when you cry, then you are complicating your situation, because we are all human and at some point in our lives, we experience things that would make us cry.  I believe crying is not a sign of weakness, but a sign of strength, just like I would always tell my friends, when they are heartbroken; “its okay if you feel like crying”, and afterwards they feel much better.

A POSITIVE MIND

You can try waking up from the right side of your bed for once, go with a positive mind no matter the situation, live each day in appreciation and you just never can tell what might come out of it.
Despite the bad situation that surrounds you, you can decide to act like everything is alright, surprisingly it will be, it’s all about your mind set, believes, determination and hard work, and most especially;  be appreciative and thankful rather than complain.
The point is that, whatever we set our mind on, is what most at times happens to us, so, be thankful and positive and make everyday a fruitful, useful and productive day, and everyday will be worthwhile.

FAMILY IS IMPORTANT

I can’t believe the long awaited time is here, am finally going to be with my family, after a long time, I have been with friends and loved ones all this while, although I must confess that, caring friends made it easier for me to cope in the absence of my family members.
Despite the fact that, am going to spend time with my sister, whom I last saw on her wedding day about three years ago, and not my whole family, it still feels so good, at least, it will give me a sense of belonging, although am a bit nervous about, meeting her two year old twin boys for the first time, whom I have only seen in pictures.
None the less, family is very important, no matter where you are, where you have been or where you want to be, you will long to be with your family after a while, because, friends come and go, but your family loves and cares for you no matter the situation and will always be there for you, therefore, appreciate, care, love and spend time with your family.

THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM

As most of us know, an elephant is the largest or biggest land animal on earth, and it’s difficult and almost impossible for such an animal to be in a room and go unnoticed, perhaps as a result of its size.

Therefore, in this scenario, I see an intelligent, problem solver, hardworking and industrious young lady, with abilities that are beyond compare, but often do not get the recognition, attention and courage she needs, which could be as a result of her inability to express herself and the fear of what people would say if eventually she tries to prove herself and unfortunately something goes wrong.

Nevertheless, the young lady with all these abilities is the elephant in the room, because, what she carries with her is as big as an elephant and could be very useful to different aspect of people’s lives.  But often time people tend to under rate and ignore her, searching for solutions far away, meanwhile the key to the solution is right there. The little things we ignore could turn around to become bigger things that will make a huge change in our lives, let’s not ignore the little things that matter, because big things start small and never get discouraged for fear of other people.

HIGH SCHOOL CRUSH

When we were younger and in high school, most of us lied to our parents that we were staying for extra lessons after school, just to meet up with our high school crush, at that time or stage of our lives, if you do not see your high school love, crush or boyfriend etc, for two days, it feels like a whole month, if not months.
It feels really intimidating and painful, when a guy you are crushing on, is talking or hanging around a pretty and popular girl at school, while you are silently crushing on him, but often do not have the guts to approach him.
Nevertheless, the point is that, having a crush and hanging out with guys it’s an inevitable occurrence while in high school but let’s not forget that, if the situation is not handled carefully, it would apparently lead to unwanted teenage pregnancy and perhaps, dropout.  Let’s keep it healthy, platonic and casual for fun, in order to enjoy the moment.  This is for teenagers.

IF NOBODY WOULD JUDGE

I would skip dinner straight to desert. *Winks*
If nobody would judge me, I would skip dinner straight to desert, I would go to the park and play in the sand like a child, I would do all the crazy things I used to do as a child, and still wish to do, but couldn’t do because, am all grown up now, and I know if I do them, people would obviously frown at them, perhaps because I shouldn’t or maybe because people just like to judge.
Despite all that, I think is it wise to do whatever your heart tells you, as long as they are not contradicting the law of the land or offending anybody, because, whatever you do, good or bad people tend to judge, so ignore that and be the best you can possibly be and in the end the same people that judge you will be your fans if you become successful.
Therefore, be yourself, do your best and leave the rest to God, ignore people, because it’s impossible to please them, and make the most out of your life, for your sake and not to please people, because you never will.  What would you do then, if you know nobody would judge you?

NEMESIS

Nemesis as a word have different meanings, depending on the perspective you want to put it.  I will be focusing on the punishment aspect of the word, which simply means, the unavoidable punishment that comes after committing an offence or a crime as the case may be.
Often times we do the wrong things, for all the wrong reasons, and after a while if nothing happens, we feel we have succeeded in getting away with our offence, especially offences of the heart or emotional offences such as, heartbreak and betrayal etc.  This is very common among the youth because, they are young and beautiful, thus feel that the world is theirs, forgetting the fact that, nemesis is inescapable, perhaps because it's natures way of attaining justice.
Therefore, we must always think about the future and how the bad things we do today can affect us in future, it might take longer than expected but will definitely catch up with us in future. That is why its called “Nemesis” it does not happen immediately in most cases, but it does eventually, think about the future when you act, be careful of what you do and avoid “Nemesis”.

EVERYDAY IS A GOOD DAY

Everyday for me is really a good day, think about it, you cried your eyes out over the night as a result of a heartbreak, disappointment  or betrayal as the case may be, you almost felt like the world was coming to an end, and suddenly the next day you feel much better and ready to carry on with your life.
This reminds me of the women of faith, extravagant grace where in one of their songs, they had a line that goes; “Trading my sorrows: and joy comes in the morning”. This means that everyday is a new beginning.  What happens today is not going to happen tomorrow.
Although that depends on the decision you make as a person, if you make good and sound decisions, obviously everyday will be a good day for you, because good decisions are usually a result of careful thinking, considerations and planning, everyone deserves a good day, so make good decisions and have a good day everyday.
