When I was in high school, during my senior high to be précised, I did training with the UNICEF representatives who came to my school for outreach programmes on educating the youth on different issues of importance, ranging from; overall knowledge on puberty, peer sexuality and how to handle peer pressures of any form.
Nonetheless; after
that experience I realised how relevant it is to give a listening ear to youths
who are faced with issues like that without criticism, because; judging them
would only make matters worse and scare them away from talking about such
issues with people they should talk about them with (Their parents). Therefore; parents should endeavour to pay
critical attention to their children in matters like this, because; there is a
tendency that; they would be getting bad advice elsewhere if parents often
careless or criticize their children on sexually related issues, often
believing that; they are too young to be discussing such matters.
