Back in the olden days, people used to say that; “The evil that men do
live after them”, which I understand to mean that, when men commit atrocities
during their lifetime, they do not reap the consequences of their actions,
rather their children and future generations suffer for the sins of their
fathers.
Believe it or not, it has now been rephrased as “The evil that men do
live with them and not after them”, which means that; people who commit
atrocities live to bear the consequences’ of their actions and not the other
way around.
None the less, that is the way it should be, people who commit evil
should live to bear the consequences of their actions rather than, involve
innocent people simply because they are related. We all have to be careful and think properly
about the future effects our decisions and actions would cause and consider
what it could do to our family and loved ones before indulging in atrocious acts
and save ourselves the pain and shame.
