CHILDREN ARE GIFTS FROM GOD

                                                      

Children are gifts from God, if you don’t have after marriage, you become restless, worried and complain and if you do have children, you still worry and complain.  Whichever the case, worrying and complaining are present, although differs according to the situation respectively.

Therefore, if you are married without children, according to people’s experiences and the West African cultural perspective, you worry because there is a tendency that, your husband will take another wife to provide him with an heir, which makes it a tragic situation, simply because your husband and his people are not patient enough to wait for God’s time.

On the other hand, if you have children, you still worry about things like; the children’s education, up keep and future etc.  When they disturb unnecessarily as a result of growing up which in most cases is inevitable you complain as well, although the difference in this case is that, both the worrying and complaining is of joy because, when you look at the children you are grateful to God for giving them to you.  My sister and her children inspired me to write this piece.
